Family 2 Family 

Family 2 Family is an annual project of WCN that enables your family to reach out in love to an impoverished family overseas. More than half of the world's population lives on less than $2 a day, and an estimated 250,000 children will die of malnutrition this year.

Involving your entire family in this project will enhance their awareness of world hunger and provide an opportunity to respond. WCN has served thousands of needy people around the world. Thanks to your partnership through Family 2 Family, we will help thousands more.

2007 Family 2 Family Photos (Honduras) 

                                

  With 120 volunteers serving over the span of five weeks, WCN's 2007 Family 2 Family mission trips were amazing.  Each week lives were changed as volunteer teams traveled to the poor villages of Honduras to worship together, share the gospel of the mighty savior, and distribute hundreds of food boxes, clothes, toys, shoes, and hygiene products.  Much time was spent praying, playing, and doing crafts with the Hondurans.  WCN volunteers also assisted in a construction project which expanded a church building in El Progesso.

 From the churches and individuals who filled the food boxes, to the volunteers who ministered in Honduras, WCN sincerely thanks everyone involved for extending the Love of Christ to 6,000 Hondurans this year.  Amazingly so, God will continue to multiply from there.

Qty. Description 1 18 qt. Ultra Sterilite plastic storage container 1984 white.  It is very important to use this box.  Box must fit shipping pallet. 1 New, thin bath towel (thin is important) 3 Bars of hand soap 1 32 oz. plastic bottle of vegetable oil 1 26 oz. round box of salt 2 1 lb. boxes of elbow macaroni or 1  2lb box 2 5 lb. bags of white rice 2 2 lb. bags of pinto beans 6 3.75 oz. cans of sardines 1 Check or Money Order for $10 to World Compassion Network to cover shipping & distribution

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please DO NOT make substitutions, or add anything outside of the above list to your box. It could result in the rejection of an entire shipping container by Customs.  Also, the emphasis of the towel being thin is very important.  Because of space avaibability in the container, regular towels will not fit.

Family 2 Family packing instructions 

Begin by placing the soap and oil in the  Ziploc bags provided.  Place the oil, salt, sardines, and soap in the bottom of the box, topped by the  macaroni, rice, and beans.  Place the towel on the top, tucking it in on the sides to hold everything secure.  Pack your box secure, making sure the sides do not bulge and the lid is properly closed.

Please place a check or money order for $10 for shipping and handling in a envelope and tape it to the top of the box lid.  You  may write one check for the total shipping and handling  for all your boxes if you provide more than one box.

Another option: Send a check or money order for $35 to the address below to cover the cost of each box and its contents. We will then purchase and pack the box(es) for you.

Where to send your Family 2 Family boxes 

Bring your filled Family 2 Family box(es) to your church, organization or designated collection point as directed by your project leader. Or, for single family participants, please call or email us for the nearest collection point. It may be more feasible to send a check or money order for $35 to the address below to cover the purchase and distribution cost of each box.

Be sure to provide your name, address, telephone number and email address. We'd like to provide you with a tax receipt
