Sample of a Mission Trip
In 2008, four teams of 24 people each, worked very hard over the four week period to complete 24 distributions which included food, clothes, personal hygiene supplies, toys and of course, the good news of Christ. All of this is done through the local churches in association with the local pastors. Over 1,350 food boxes were distributed feeding conservative estimates of 5,000 people. It should be a wonderfully fulfilling feeling to all those who partner with us, knowing that thousands were fed due to their willingness to support WCN both financially and in prayer. It is even more exciting to think that with every mouthful of food it is God that is being praised by the people of Honduras. You can not imagine the credibility given to the poor pastors of these small local churches, when they are associated with such desperately needed supplies. This also provides a great way for the spiritual seeds that we have planted to continue to be watered after we leave. WCN has been reminded of the effectiveness of our model when we visited a previous church project from two years past. The name of the church is De Planes Atlantida and when we first assessed it in 2006, there were 15 members and the building was in complete ruin. We renovated and when we visited this year the church is now thriving, with almost 150 members. There is a passion for God in that church that is electric and spreading quickly. The ripple effects of such a church will echo out through generations and only in heaven will we know the full impact. It is absolutely awesome. We also had the opportunity to visit several orphanages and help supply them with bulk rice, flour, cornmeal and love . These visits are heartbreaking and beautiful all at the same time. Our F2F YouTube link is available under the 'What does a Mission Trip Look Like'. It shows video and photos from all four weeks.

2009 Tegucigalpa Honduras Mission Trip
After much prayer, research and communication with our contacts on the ground in Tegucigalpa, regarding the political unrest, we have decided to cancel the November 2009 trip. As an organization we have no problem taking risks as long as we feel God is guiding us in that direction. That was illustrated this summer in El Progresso. Tegucigalpa however, has felt very different. As we have asked God for guidance, He has been providing us with warnings not encouragement at this time. The container will still be sent to Honduras and Josh, Clark and/or Joe will travel down and make sure the food is appropriately distributed. God has specific plans for this food and our job now is to continue to listen to His direction. We are disappointed that this trip cannot take place, but hope you would consider going with us to El Progresso in the summer of 2010.
Space is still available for our Family 2 Family Mission Trip to Tegucigalpa, Honduras, November 7th-14th. We are currently making plans for our second trip to Tegucigalpa, Honduras. We will again be staying at the Hope Center Orphanage, located in the Valley of the Angels, 20 minutes from the city. Our clothing and food distributions will include inner-city locations, poor rural villages and a prison visit. Our evenings allow us to connect with the work of Zion Ministries and the children of the Hope Center. If God is stirring your heart, take the next step and contact us at 574-267-5427 or info@w-c-n.org.
