Disaster Relief Coordinator


A World Compassion Network, It’s our vision to see people become fully devoted followers of Christ through “Compassion Ministry” and our Mission to help mobilize and assist the local church in responding to the needs of victims of disaster and poverty. In the past 16 years, World Compassion Network has worked in over twenty-two countries, including twelve states in the United States of America. This includes both domestic and international response efforts, annual mission teams to Honduras, and compassion projects in our very own community. 


World Compassion Network responds to natural and man-made disasters domestically and internationally. WCN servesas an on-call relief organizationthat reacts (at times at a moment’s notice) to assist disaster-afflicted people in their time of need.


World Compassion Network is immediately seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to serve as our DisasterRelief Coordinator for both domestic and international response efforts.

Domestic and International travelrequired                        [Reports to] Executive Director

[Salary Range] $35,000-$45,000


Specific Job Duties

  • Manage and coordinate all disaster relief operations

  • Plan the logistics for responses both domestically and internationally

  • Perform on site disaster relief assessments

  • Travel domestically and internationally when disasters occur

  • Provide administrative support for disaster relief operations

  • Drive large truck and/or trailers to disaster locations

  • Between responses ensure all equipment is properly maintained and mission ready

  • Work with warehouse managers/volunteers to prepare relief supplies

  • Recruit and develop volunteers for response efforts

  • Speak to individuals/churches/organizations to raise funds and awareness of WCN

  • Develop and publish disaster response content for website, social media, or newsletter



  • Must have a passion to serve suffering people and live a life led by the Holy Spirit

  • Relevant college degree

  • 2 or more years relevant experience working in disaster relief efforts

  • Mechanical aptitude and physically able to lift at least 40 lbs

  • Must maintain valid U.S. passport

  • Strong ability to work and make decisions in fast paced and high stress environments

  • Good written and oral communication skills and organizational skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Facebook


WCN will provide assistance for:

  • Fund raising

  • Necessary training and certifications
